Our CEO, Dev Sanyal, participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024, in Davos. Reflecting on the key themes of the forum and his interactions with officials and executives, he highlighted a few that particularly resonated with him, as fundamental for the future but also for VARO’s journey and role:

• Partnerships & Trust. At VARO, we work closely with our customers, other energy peers, engineering & technology companies, financial institutions but also governments to create partnerships that will accelerate the energy transition. And trust is an essential part for making these partnerships work and create long-lasting results.

• Long-term Energy Strategy & Growth. Our twin engine strategy offers energy solutions for today and the future. We are investing $3.5 billion over the 2022-26 period, with two-thirds committed to sustainable energies.

• Technology & AI. Technology is a critical enabler of the success of our strategy and lies at the core of some of our biggest investments, such as the SAF facility in Rotterdam. We are also pushing forward our digital agenda, considering how to leverage the benefits of AI in improving our operations, logistics, processes and customer value proposition.
