Securing new supply sources was one of the topics addressed. As for VARO, we decided not to purchase Russian crude on the day of the Russian invasion and quickly managed to recalibrate our system.
While the current challenges have to be met, we must also look at the situation with not just a microscope, but also a periscope. The asymmetry between supply by a few and demand by many necessitates the need for a faster energy transition. It is economically and strategically necessary and will enable a new platform to provide energy solutions to our customers.
They also spoke about our ONE VARO Transformation strategy and the new energy businesses we are currently building, which include renewable energy businesses including biofuels, biomethane and bio-LNG, nature-based carbon solutions, e-mobility, and hydrogen.
